ABRomics Hackathon: A Week of Co-Development in Clermont-Ferrand
From September 29 to October 3, the ABRomics development team gathered in Clermont-Ferrand for a new hackathon. Over five days, they combined expertise and creativity to advance several key technical projects shaping the evolution of the platform.
Organized in collaboration with the local team, the event enabled progress on several strategic topics:
- The creation and deployment of Galaxy-defined collections to enable the automated launch of collection-based workflows through the django-to-galaxy tool.
- The integration of queries with the abromics knowledge graph APIdeveloped by Brieuc Quemeneur;
- An exploratory collaboration with Aurélien Birer to identify the needs of the CNRs and prepare for a future API between the ABRomics database and the CNR RA data warehouse.
- A reflection on the integration of cgMLST and the future development of visualizations based on this new metric.
- An in-depth review of metagenomics workflow tools, with the dual goal of better understanding how the Tooldistillator outputs results and anticipating necessary evolutions in the ABRomics backend;
Beyond coding, the week fostered rich exchanges within the development team. The outcomes represent important milestones in strengthening the platform’s interoperability and laying the groundwork for new features to be rolled out in upcoming versions of ABRomics
